We are Richard and Tracy

Our style of documenting weddings would be categorized as Lifestyle Cinema. We strive to capture authentic moments without much directing. You won’t have to worry about acting or posing towards the camera but simply enjoying your wedding day and living in the moment.

We film our couples in real life situations and capture the milestones in an artistic manner. Our cinematic side comes from how we approach the day as we want you to feel like you are watching a Hollywood movie of your wedding. We accomplish this by using Hollywood-approved cameras, using the same filming and editing techniques they use to produce romantic feature films. In the end, we want to create a visual masterpiece of a wedding film that will be timeless.

I love the art of cinema and the ability to create romantic cinematic films for my couples that will last for a lifetime. I have been filming weddings and events for a decade. I am passionate about my craft and continuously push myself to be better. I have been considered the top wedding videographer in my area and have been awarded the Hall of Fame awards with the Knot. I am truly blessed to have met so many amazing couples over the years. I am excited to capture new love stories as my journey continues.

Our desire is that you enjoy every aspect of your wedding day while keeping you in the moment.

We aim for you to forget that you are being filmed on camera and simply be yourself. We want to capture the day simply as it is unfolding in front of us. There will be minimal directing throughout the day and our goal is when you rewatch your film you will be amazed at all that was captured and not remember ever seeing us capturing the moments.

Do you have videos from past events?

You can view samples of our Highlight videos on our Portfolio page. If you would like to see more of our work, we will show you during your free consultation. If there is anything specific you would like to see, just send us a message.

How do I book with Royal Films?

Contact us and we will set up a free consultation. Once you make your final decision, we request an initial deposit of 20% of your package to secure your date.

What do you need from us prior to the event?

With some of our collections, you give you an opportunity to have input on your video. However, you can always opt-out this option and trust we will deliver a video you will love. We want to make your experience a stress-free and easy as possible. During your consultation, we will discuss the specifics to match your needs.

Do I get to pick my own songs for the highlight video?

The song must be chosen from songfreedom.com because the song will be legally licensed to be streamed online so you can share your highlight video with family and friends. We will ask you to choose 2 songs and we will pick the best song that works for your highlight video.

How long does it take to get our film back?

It takes us 4-14 weeks to edit and copy your film. Additionally, if requested, your highlight video will be completed in as soon as 1-4 week(s).

Do you film both bride and groom preps?

We film these preps at your request unless your particular location prohibits it.

Do you mic the groom and officiant?

We mic the groom and officiant with professional lavalier microphones to ensure we get the best sound for your film.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Royal Films shoots on Canon Cinema cameras (C70) with high-graded Canon lenses for superb quality giving your event a feature film look. For audio, we use professional Roland sound equipment.
